See San Francisco’s Chinatown. Our resident China expert (just back from a semester there teaching English) says it’s just like places she’s seen in China, except cleaner (even though it’s dirty by our standards).

Drive down Lombard Street (the one with about nine switchbacks).
Watch the wild sea lions enjoy doing nothing.
Agree to spend the weekend up here. We’ll work Saturday and not drive back to L.A. until the end of next week.
Make good use of our hotel’s fitness room, pool, and hot tub.
Spend lots of time in FedEx-Kinkos.
Tell many people about potential changes in the law that would affect restaurants.
Mobilize those people in contacting their representatives.
