I haven’t had much time for television lately, and I’ve had even less time for following the presidential race. For the past couple months I’ve figured that nothing will really change until the vice-presidential candidate announcements. However, I’ve been impressed this week with two valuable pieces of coverage on CNN.
The first is the Saddleback Church’s forum with each candidate:
Pastor Warren leads a revealing discussion with each candidate, touching particularly on issues important to people of faith. CNN may not have created this content, but they have done a great job distributing it.
The second is a two-part special, “McCain Revealed” and “Obama Revealed”. These documentaries do the best job I’ve seen of telling each candidate’s history. My previous bits and pieces of understanding about their backgrounds have finally come together. The link doesn’t contain the entire documentaries, but it does have clips, or you may be able to catch a rebroadcast.
I wasn’t able to catch either of these programs in their entirety (yet), but I can say that time spent watching either will be well-spent for the understanding you’ll gain of each candidate.
