We become what we practice being. It seems so obvious, but sometimes I’m not sure how well we understand the implications. The best and easiest example is this: my grandmother, Granny, has spent her entire life practicing kindness, selflessness and charity. As a result, she has become a genuinely kind, selfless, charitable person. She’s the only person I’ve caught cheating at cards so others would have a chance to win. My grandfather, Grandaddy, is a man of strong integrity. And it’s because he’s chosen to act with integrity over and over again when given the choice.
On the other hand, someone who practices negativity will surely grow into a bitter person. We all have the chance to chose.
Are you practicing being the kind of person you want to become?
