Thanksgiving’s over–let’s share our favorite Christmas music!
I’m going to start with Relient K’s “Let It Snow Baby…Let It Reindeer”. It has a punk-rock influence with some twists on familiar tunes. At the same time, the members of Relient K are religious, with respect for the meaning of Christmas hymns. It’s a fun album with both religious and nostalgic moments.
Next comes Jewel’s “Joy: A Holiday Collection”. She has a beautiful voice. I came to appreciate this CD while serving as a full-time missionary in similarly-beautiful Hood River, Oregon.
Third, Eclipse’s “Three Kings”. Tight vocal harmonies, stirring original tracks, appropriate treatment of the classics, and occasionally-explosive vocal percussion combine to make this my absolute favorite. I can and do listen to this CD throughout the year. I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t listen to “This Year” anymore, and I look forward to singing “Lullaby” as I rock my (future) children to sleep. Get this!
Finally, I’m sure I need to mention The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Frank Sinatra
, and Burl Ives. I don’t own those first two yet, but I just bought the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
soundtrack for five bucks, and I have some Christmas music from the others.
Now it’s your turn. I need to build my collection, and I’m looking for some recommendations. I’ve kept it simple for you: just click on the post title (“My Christmas music“). At the bottom of the page, type your name and comment, then click post. That’s it–no login, no registration, not even a captcha. What Christmas music are you listening to?

In the interest of full disclosure, I included my Amazon affiliate ID with those links.
Also in the interest of full disclosure, I’d totally be doing the exact some post even without it. This just makes me more likely to remember to include the links.
Try the album “Winter Songs” by The Hotel Cafe. I also love all Manheim Steamroller!
Rachel –
Thanks for the comment and the recommendations! I just bought “Winter Songs,” and I’ll probably get some Manheim Steamroller as well.
I just switched out my playlist on Facebook for Christmas music, if you wanna check it out.
@Yockub – Thanks! Will do.
